join us for an afternoon of strength training for marriage

As part of the Foundation’s 15-year anniversary, we’re honored to introduce a powerful new addition to this year’s Permission to Start Dreaming Weekend—a bold, heartfelt event designed to strengthen relationships and celebrate resilience.

Join us Saturday afternoon, September 6, for “Strength Training for Marriage”, featuring retired Navy Lieutenant Jason Redman and his wife Erica Redman. Together, they’ll lead an unforgettable session rooted in courage, connection, and commitment.

Jason is a decorated combat veteran, Navy SEAL, and New York Times bestselling author of The Trident. After being critically wounded in Iraq, he returned to active duty and later became a nationally recognized motivational speaker and entrepreneur. Alongside Erica, the Redmans have co-authored Mission: Invincible Marriage—a raw and empowering account of how they overcame the most extreme trials of trauma, reintegration, and recovery by treating their marriage like a mission worth fighting for.

This intimate afternoon event includes:
✔️ A two-hour live presentation with Jason & Erica Redman
✔️ Real-life tools and stories on building resilient, mission-minded marriages
✔️ Small bites and Whiskey tastings featuring local favorite Heritage Distilling’s Salute Series, which raises funds for those who serve and sacrifice
✔️Book Signing with Jason and Erica

Whether you’re married, engaged, or seeking inspiration for future relationships, this gathering is for you. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to grow stronger together—heart, soul, and mission-first.

Earlier this year, retired U.S. Navy SEAL Jason Redman captivated a national audience and took first place in the Great American Speak Off at the 10x Growth Conference in Las Vegas—rising above 26,000 contestants. In just two minutes, his powerful message brought the crowd to their feet with multiple standing ovations and chants of “USA, USA, USA.”

A dynamic, decorated, and deeply inspiring speaker, Jason embodies the courage, resilience, and purpose we celebrate at this event. Join us as we mark 15 years of hope, healing, and unwavering support for those who serve.

about the book:

From Jason Redman, the former Navy SEAL and New York Times bestselling author of The Trident, writing with his wife, Erica, a battle-tested guide to marital bliss, drawing on the lessons of elite warriors to build a winning relationship, no matter the challenges and traumas that life sends your way. Featuring a foreword by Gary Sinise.

The divorce rate among Navy SEALs is over 90 percent, and the rate among severely wounded warriors is even higher. Erica and Jason Redman knew their marriage faced an uphill climb, because Jason is both.

In 2007, Jason’s patrol was ambushed by a machine gunners’ nest in Iraq. Thirty-seven surgeries,  1,200 stitches, and a grueling years-long rehab would follow. Despite all that—plus the daily demands of raising three children and running a successful business together—Jason and Erica’s marriage has remained invincible.

Every day, you make choices that either build up your relationship or leave it exposed and vulnerable to attack. The highest-performing warrior teams pay attention to developing muscle-memory habits, and your marriage can benefit from the same focus.

In Mission: Invincible Marriage, Jason and Erica share the tools they use to lay the foundational beliefs and communication skills a marriage needs to last for life. Each chapter helps readers develop a key tenet of successful relationship-building. Among them:

  • Commit to Friendship: The foundation of all successful marriages is genuine friendship
  • Support Each Other’s Dreams: Couples who establish a pattern of supporting each other’s dreams can thrive even when those dreams grow and change
  • Know When to Give Space: Learn to trust each other enough to give and take space when needed instead of resorting to passive-aggressive responses and stonewalling
  • Establish Rituals: Couples can strengthen their marriage by finding ways to invest in small shared actions that reflect and reinforce commitment
  • Face Conflict Together: Marital strength is not the absence of conflict but the ability to withstand and work through conflict

Drawing on their own experiences and the latest research in long-term interpersonal relationships, Mission: Invincible Marriage is a battle-tested guide to nurturing love, especially when the going gets tough.
