GIG HARBOR BASED NON-PROFIT TO BRING NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED TRAINING PROGRAM FOR VETERANS AND FIRST RESPONDERS TO THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST IN 2021
“If we properly heal and transition our Veterans, we will heal our nation.” Bernie Marcus
The Permission to Start Dreaming Foundation is excited to announce that beginning In August 2021, they will begin delivery of the nation’s first-ever program, Warrior PATHH, designed to cultivate and facilitate Posttraumatic Growth (PTG). Warrior PATHH is an 18-month program that begins with a 7-day intensive and immersive initiation and enables combat veterans and first responders struggling with PTSD or combat stress to transform their struggle into a deep and abiding sense of growth and strength. Warrior PATHH (Progressive and Alternative Training for Healing Heroes) delivers results that far surpass the traditional mental health system and allows combat veterans and first responders to live the great lives they deserve.
“We are heartened and inspired by the opportunity to deliver the transformative Warrior PATHH program in the Northwest,” said Leslie Mayne, founding director, Permission to Start Dreaming Foundation. Mayne continued, “It is critical that we provide combat veterans and first responders the training they need to live great lives during and after their service. This partnership with Boulder Crest allows us to do precisely that.”
“Our current approach to PTSD has proven inaccessible or ineffective for far too many combat veterans and first responders,” said Ken Falke, chairman and founder, Boulder Crest Foundation. “We can and must do better, and that is why we developed and are expanding Warrior PATHH in partnership with great organizations like the Permission to Start Dreaming Foundation.”
The Permission to Start Dreaming Foundation will deliver seven Warrior PATHH programs (serving eight combat veterans/responders per session) in 2021, taking place at Camp Beausite in Chimacum.
The Foundation welcomes and is enthusiastically seeking to develop partnerships with local supporters and contributors who believe, as it does, that “our nations heroes deserve to have access to transformative care that will strengthen their lives and the families well into the future.”
