Please join us in welcoming our newest PATHH Guide to the Dream Team, Sara Kellerman!

So often in life, we find ourselves saying that “everything happens for a reason” or that “there’s a bigger plan in place” but only rarely do we truly feel that bigger plan in action…welcoming Sara Kellerman to the Dream Team as a Warrior PATHH Guide is arguably one of those ‘kismet’ moments, and we are so honored to welcome her aboard!

Many of you may remember her as one of our speakers at Matters of the Heart: Service and Soul, which we hosted this past February:

But Sara brings so much more to the table than just her ability to speak to a crowd…

Sara brings a military servant’s heart and over a decade of leadership experience as a commissioned officer, UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter pilot, flight instructor, and unit commander. She received her commission as a second lieutenant at the University of Colorado Boulder in 1991, during the first Gulf War.

With a B.A. in Psychology and extensive experience as a Human Resources professional at Heritage Distilling Company, Sara is exceptionally well-suited to serve as a Warrior PATHH Guide. After completing the Warrior PATHH program as a participant in April, she became a proud alumnus and felt a deep calling to give back. Inspired by the life-changing impact of the training, she knew she wanted to join our PATHH Dream Team and help others navigate the journey from struggle to strength through the principles of Post-traumatic Growth.

In addition to her role at the Foundation, Sara is a Co-Founder and Ambassador for Heritage Distilling Company, the most awarded craft distillery in North America for 10 years in a row.  Sara represents the “Salute Series” line of fundraising whiskies; profits from every bottle sold are donated to benevolent organizations that support our U.S. Military, Veterans, First Responders, and their families.

This September, she and her husband Drew will celebrate 33 years of marriage. Outside of work, Sara enjoys spending time with family and friends, adventuring with her rescue pup Tilly, exploring the outdoors, and—most recently—has discovered a love for the game of golf.

We highly encourage you to get to know Sara when you see her at events or at the Foundation Office, and help us make her feel welcome! We are thrilled to have her joining the team and can’t wait to witness the amazing things she will do for those we serve!

Oh, and did we mention that Sara will be one of speakers at the 15th Annual Prayer Breakfast? You won’t want to miss this opportunity, so be sure to read more, and get your tickets starting July 1st at www.ptsdfoundation.org/prayer-breakfast/
