The Permission to Start Dreaming Foundation Announces “MOTH: Service and Soul”

A Gathering Designed for Military and First Responder Spouses and Partners

“We need community and to be able to lean on each other during and after our time serving alongside our military and first responder spouses.”

Jenna Griffith – Author “Service and Soul”

The Permission to Start Dreaming Foundation is pleased to announce the first Matters of the Heart gathering for 2025 with the Service and Soul luncheon for military and first responder spouses and partners on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. The event will be held at the Best Western Wesley Inn from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Service and Soul will feature Jenna Griffith, the author of Service and Soul: A Journey to Purpose for Military and First Responders Wives. With a unique ability to turn personal trauma in resilience, she inspires audiences to discover their true purpose. Her message is uniquely crafted to reach spouses and partners of our first responders and military to embrace their passions while serving alongside their spouses.

“Our vision at the foundation is to build a community for all those who serve, whether it is in the military or law enforcement or fire fighters that addresses the invisible wounds that they all face as a result of their service. This includes family members, who often pay the greatest cost” remarks Leslie Mayne, founding director of the Permission to Start Dreaming Foundation. “Matters of the Heart is key to serving the spouses and partners to find hope and healing.”

Local Gig Harbor businesswomen joining this special event will be Sue Braaten, proprietor of the Best Western – Wesley Inn and founder of Homestead Community, Mallory Delabar, founder of Risen Devices, and Sara Kellerman, veteran and co-founder of Heritage Distillery. These women  have all pursued their passions and found purpose through their dedication to a mission greater than themselves.

We invite all first responders and military spouses, partners and family members to join us for Matters of the Heart: Service and Soul – Tuesday, February 11, 2025 – 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at the Best Western – Wesley Inn.

Registration is now OPEN at https://ptsdfoundation.ejoinme.org/registerSaS
